Passing the Time with New and Old

~ I have now read 47 books, and am working on #48 (a re-reading of A Tale of Two Cities courtesy of the next item below).

~ Randy and I upgraded our cell phones, and I got the HTC Inspire.  I love it so far.  Among my favorite features are the built-in ereader (pre-loaded with several classics, plus the ability to purchase/download more), and also an 8 megapixel camera with various special effects options.  I wanted to check the quality, so I took a quick pic in sepia and am happy with the results:

I’m currently in the process of choosing ringtones.  I seem drawn to songs that are inappropriate for a future therapist: I Wanna Be Sedated, Crazy, Chop and Change, etc.

~ Now this may have seemed like a meaningless post, but it had a purpose, which was to put off doing housework.  It is time, however, to put my Big Girl Pants on and do it.  That laundry won’t fold itself.  If only…

Do you remember when you were in school when you would do housework so you didn’t have to do schoolwork? (I did that, and so did most of the other people I asked.)

  2. Aravis says:

Yes, I remember. Oh how times have changed, and quickly too! Actually, I should be writing a couple of brief essays for grad school application, but haven’t felt like it. So now housework and schoolwork are rebounding off of each other! *G*

  5. Aravis says:

Mark- I love it! It looks like a cooler sibling to mine. They seem to have a lot of similar features, but yours is more advanced. Sexy indeed (although I think mine is pretty hot, too *G*)

  6. Tony LaRocca says:

A Tale of Two Cities brings back horrifying memories of 11th grade English. Enjoy your HTC!

  7. Aravis says:

Tony- Moby Dick is my 11th grade English horror. *G*

I’ve got a 1st gen iPhone which only has a 2MB so the picture aren’t actually very good. If I actually want to take meaningful photos then I still have to bring a normal camera out with me.

For the very reasons you like your new cell phone I have been avoiding getting an upgrade.

  10. Leah says:

Which high school classics do you remember loving, Aravis? Just curious.
